Ten Thought Tuesday: Random and a Question

It's Tuesday!

You know what happens on Tuesday, don't you?

That's right.

Randomness.

Ready for the ride?

Here we go:

10. School starts next Wednesday. September 7th.

Yes. I am officially counting down.

Kaylee and I are both so freaking excited for school to start back up.

9. Our neighbor has 2 kids who Kaylee plays with at least 4 days out of the week. Said neighbor has also taken Kaylee to two movies, the beach AND took her shopping when she went shopping for her girls. Kaylee came home with a pair of jeans and a shirt. I was shocked.

She has asked for nothing in return. Nothing.

Kaylee will be walking the girls to school in the mornings. And I am thinking about offering to babysit the girls if she ever needs it.

8. It's rare these days to find someone who gives without really wanting anything in return.

7. Talked to Mom on the phone yesterday. She sounded better than she did before. I was also talking to my sister via IM at the same time.

6. If anything? Mom being sick has brought me and my sister closer together.

5. That makes me happy. Probably more than anyone knows.

4. Last week, the community center in our neighborhood had a "Back to School BBQ". There were school supplies given away and clothes. It was nice.

3. With what I already had and with what was given? I only have to buy maybe two things to complete Kaylee's school supply list. That is awesome.

2. Did I mention that I am counting down the days?

I did?

Yeah, well I am ready for school to start back.

1. I have been tossing around the idea of having a guest poster once a week. Like maybe on Fridays.

Who wants to be first?

Seriously.

I'm glad for the strengthened relationship with your sister. I'm trying to work on the one with mine as well.

What kind guest posting? You thinking around a specific subject, or just kind of anything?

I am still thinking about the guest posting. I want to do one day a week. And would rather the poster come up with a topic because I blog about random things.

Just something to think about.

And I would absolutely do a guest post for you!

Glad you're being able to get school supplies in such a manner.
It is amazing that there are people like your neighbor. This past spring we had a friend's grandma ask if we'd mind if she took our youngest shopping for a formal dress with her granddaughter.. and she paid@@

I miss school starting after labor day we started on the 16th

I will definitely keep you in mind for whenever I get the guest post thing organized!

I was shocked that the neighbor bought Kaylee a shirt and a pair of jeans.

And kinda felt bad. She is a single mom and has to provide for two little girls.

I have to wonder. Would it insult her if I offered her the money for the clothes? Is offering to babysit enough?

I'm at a loss.

I really enjoyed your thoughts! Summers can be so long. The kids go year round here, so they get 9 weeks on and three weeks off, sometimes 6 weeks off and 9 weeks on. Either way, they are ready to go back and I'm ready for it too.

That is great that you and your sister are getting the chance to communicate more. Sisterly love is hard to explain, isn't it?

Guest posting scares me to death! Maybe once I am in a routine with my own blog! I hope that someone takes you up on the offer!

My sister and I have had a lot of ups and downs the past few years.

So for us to be communicating the way we have been? Is different. Almost like old times.

I have only done one guest post and it scared me. It ended up going over fairly well. Hence the reason that I want to start having people guest post here.

Just not sure HOW or WHAT way I want to go with it yet.
